I’d like to provide a further update on the work being undertaken to bring together the operations of our two great organisations, Lifestyle Solutions and Possability.

As we begin the important integration work, I would like to reaffirm that we remain committed to retaining the great people in our organisations. We value and need the wide range of skills we have among our employees. With current vacancies that exist, we do not expect that there will be much duplication in roles across the combined group and if there is, alternative roles will be offered. Furthermore, I would like to confirm that no changes are planned to our range of services as a result of the merger.
As foreshadowed in my last message, an Integration Management Office has been formed to lead the work. A Steering Committee has been created to oversight the integration work. It is chaired by Board Director, Mark Valena and incorporates Directors previously part of Lifestyle Solutions and Possability boards.
John Rowland has stepped out of his role as Possability’s Director of Operations to lead the Integration Team. John has a wealth of experience in leading change and transformation in the disability services sector across more than 15 years in senior leadership roles. In recent years, he has led a number of significant integrations within Possability.
The integration work is being broken up into different streams based on best practice and to ensure we give focus to and coordinate the important aspects of the integration. To assist us, we have brought in a range of external professionals who have considerable knowledge and experience in this type of work to lead the different streams. These roles have been identified by the leadership of Lifestyle Solutions and Possability and are starting this week.
Integration Team Structure

The integration leadership will be working with the executive teams to identify subject matter experts from within Lifestyle Solutions and Possability to contribute to the work in each area.
Selection of team members will be based on:
Functional knowledge required at a point in time
Ability to back-fill roles as required
The need to maintain continuity of service and operations during integration.
The duration of the roles will vary depending on the workload; some will be full time, while others will be part-time. This will be negotiated on an individual basis.
Get involved
There are many ways you can contribute to the integration work and have your say. If you haven’t already, please fill in the Expression of Interest Form and we will let you know about opportunities as they arise.
Get informed
Senior leaders and I will be hosting online forums for employees in the coming week to provide further information on the integration process and to answer your questions. A meeting invitation is being sent out today, and I encourage you to attend. If you have any specific questions you would like to ask, please send them to questions@lifestylesolutions.org.au or questions@possability.com.au.
Kind regards,
Drew Beswick
CEO
Update: the structure of the integration team has been updated and is reflected below.
